As fireman on duty, you have been called out to a warehouse where a firebug is reported to be attempting to burn it down. Your main concern is to rescue the drums of highly inflammable petrol which are stored in the warehouse. You can jump over the fires or put them out with a fire extinguisher, but be careful to avoid the clouds of dense white smoke that some of the fires produce, as contact with these will make you stagger slowly until you recover from the fumes. Collect the drums by moving up to them and then take them to the safety of the water tank. A drum may be swapped for a fire extinguisher or vice versa. Contact with a firebug, fire or piston will knock you over.

There are three screens, each with their own level of difficulty. Each screen ends when the five drums of petrol have either been saved or destroyed: your score will then be increased by the bonus in the top right-hand corner of the screen. On completion of all three, the screens will be repeated but each will have a higher degree of difficulty. For each drum destroyed the temperature in the building will increase by 10ºC. When the temperature reaches 100ºC, all the drums explode and the warehouse fills with fire and smoke, thus ending the game.
