NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW * As promised I have managed to get Issue 9 out on time and I am hopefully now back on a monthly disc schedule. As the waiting list for software to be sent out on the issue discs has now become too long so I am now going to use both sides of an 80 track disc, so if you have anything less than a double sided 80 track drive then you'll have to send in at least 2 discs( and maybe 3). As well as the usual P.D. software (which is excellent quality this month) I have included a few "bonus" items- a comprehensive VIEW spellchecker complete with manual, an "informant" ROM image to gether with manual plus a light hearted "Ghostbusters" graphics screen. Just boot up the disc and follow the normal * NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW MENU bar routines. There is an extra "HELP FILE" menu included so all text file manuals can be viewed on screen without leaving the menu program. Finally please keep up the comments you are so kindly providing. The programmers contributing to this library are extremely grateful and most of them are planning more software as a direct result of your feedback- well done everybody! * All users who requested the version 5a (pilot) of SYSTEMS server will now have a copy of this. Please return your comments and any errors you encounter back to me on or before 10th March 1991. The full version 5 program will be * -Blank- NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW issued next month (issue 10) to all members. Version 6 is underway and will be complete (with all suggested implemented) by Spring 1991. The version 5 program just concentrates on improving speed at present. One member unfortunately lost half his data whilst using the SYSTEMS server. Unfortunately I have not been able to trace wether this was a program error or not. Please ensure that you therefore make an immeadiate backup (as with all programs) if you make any signifigant alterations to them. This should be second nature. It also appears that the text manuals with all SYSTEMS programs have been causing a few problems Re: page length * -Blank- NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW It appears that the format of page length I used was non standard. Any users who would like an INTERWORD compatible version of the manuals can have copies on request. However you will need 32k shadow RAM in order to load the manuals into INTERWORD. Manuals SHOULD load into VIEW wordprocessor as they stand, as they should do with WORDWISE. * Because a few members have submitted literally discs full of their own programs I have introduced the 8-bit TBI software pool. This contains 5 complete discs full of software that I have not had room to put onto the issue discs as yet. However this issue contains a selection of some of the * NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEW best titles from these authors. Obtaining a disc is easy and FREE. All you do is submit an extra disc and request the title of one of the following discs= TBI01-"The Animation Station" Animated graphics disc containing over 20 graphical routines-some amusing ones also included.
