  Here is the long  awaited announcement 
  about 8BS charges.                     
                                         
  The only two charges to change are:    
                                         
  1. Software from the pool up from 10p  
     to 50p                              
                                         
  2. Formatting charge up from 10p to 15p
                                         
  Subscriptions will remain at 50p an    
  issue if postage, packing and disc are 
  supplied.                              
                                         
  Charges for software from the pool if  
  8BS supplies the disc are #1.00p per   
  disc whether 3.5" or 5.25".            
                                         
  Charges for software from the pool if  
  you supply the formatted disc and      
  return postage and packing are 50p a   
  disc. THE CHARGE OF ONLY 10p PER DISC  
  HAS BEEN DROPPED.                      
                                         
  Unformatted 5.25" discs may be         
  purchased from 8BS at #3.40 for 10     
  including p+p.                         
                                         
  8BS used to charge 10p a disc for      
  formatting. THIS CHARGE IS TO GO UP BY 
  5p. 8BS charges 15p for formatting a   
  disc.                                  
                                         
  This gives you three methods of        
  purchasing software from the pool. None
  of which makes much difference to 8BS. 
                                         
    Method 1.                            
  You supply the formatted discs, 50p for
  each disc and return postage.          
                                         
    Method 2.                            
  You pay #1.00 a disc. 8BS supplies disc
  and return postage.                    
                                         
    Method 3.                            
  For each 10 discs, you pay #3.40, #1.50
  for formatting and #5.00 for copying.  
  8BS supplies return postage.           
                                         
  So for 10 discs from the pool, charges 
  to you for the 3 different methods are:

  When working out the postage charge I  
  have allowed for the cost of actually  
  requesting the software and sending any
  discs to 8BS. Letters worked out as    
  first class. Packages of discs, 2nd    
  class.                                 
                                         
  PLEASE verify your formatted discs     
  before sending them to 8BS. PLEASE send
  CLEAN NON STICKY discs!
