  I found this very interesting but I    
  can't seem to find a reference to the  
  author/submitter anywhere in the       
  magazine. Is there any chance of a

  Subject: Brian Raw's Small C article   
                                         
  I found this very interesting as I     
  personally never got very far with     
  Small C. I had no previous experience  
  with C when I started using it and I   
  could never be sure whether it was my  
  fault or the compiler's when something 
  didn't work.                           
                                         
  I did try it again about a month ago   
  and managed to compile a small program 
  with it, although it took ages. I was  
  using a 40T ADFS disc though -         
  perhaps someone with a better system   
  could let me know what the compilation 
  speed is on it, just as a matter of    
  interest?                              
                                         
  I'd also be extremely interested if    
  anyone who has one of the commercial   
  BBC C compilers could write an article 
  describing it, especially if they have 
  also had experiences of C compilers on 
  other systems.                         
                                         
  (Although I haven't been all that      
  complimentary about it, I'd like to    
  stress that I am still very grateful   
  to the author of Small C for releasing 
  it into the public domain - I couldn't 
  even approach writing a C compiler

  I thought that the articles about the  
  Amstrad NC100 and the BBC sales        
  brochure were very good. I might even  
  buy an NC100 myself if I ever find a   
  really cheap one. I'd really like a    
  cheap portable but I don't really need 
  one (I make about six train journeys a 
  year when I could use one but that's   
  about it) and there are so many other

  Well, I prefer my version of Archive,  
  oiginally written by Andrew Black and  
  rewritten by me to be faster and       
  friendlier.  The only thing it can't do
  that Chris's can (at the moment) is
